In contrast, Siddiq prefers platforms like YouTube because they allow him to consistently share new material, maintain evergreen content, and generate ongoing income through views and ad revenue. Unlike Netflix's one-time payment model, YouTube specials remain accessible indefinitely, giving fans unlimited chances to watch and creators multiple revenue streams. Siddiq also points out that producing independent specials lets him avoid the constraints of topical comedy that can quickly become outdated, focusing instead on timeless personal stories. This approach has helped him build a loyal audience on his own terms without relying on network gatekeepers.
