Rabbi Shmuley, once a close confidant of Michael Jackson, has opened up about their falling out, revealing that his decision to leave stemmed from Jackson’s continued habit of sleeping in the same bed as children—notably, children who were not his own. Speaking candidly, Rabbi Shmuley emphasized that although he never believed Jackson molested any child and trusts the 2005 acquittal verdict, he felt uncomfortable with what he termed "unacceptable red lines" being crossed.
The rabbi recounted how he repeatedly warned Jackson to never be alone with children, especially given the superstar's past allegations and immense fame, but Jackson broke that promise. Rabbi Shmuley stressed that even platonic bed-sharing with children was inappropriate, regardless of intent. Despite their rift, Shmuley acknowledged Jackson's devotion to his own children and his desire to help kids experience the childhood he never had. Ultimately, it was those boundaries—and Jackson’s disregard for them—that ended their relationship.
