Part 10: Omi in a Hellcat on Doing 3 Years in Prison: I Was Angry at God
Part 1: Omi In A Hellcat on His Dad Having 38 Kids & Showing Him How to Sell Coke at Age 9

--------

Controversial designer Omi in a Hellcat recently opened up about the $8 million lawsuit Nike filed against him over a sneaker design featuring a lightning bolt, which the brand claimed was a copy of their own. Omi embraced the label of "serial copyist," joking about changing his name to “old me in a copycat loving,” but defended his work as an expression of "black excellence." He revealed the company behind the design was registered under his ex-girlfriend’s name, who he alleges stole millions from him, insisting that she, not him, should bear the brunt of Nike's lawsuit.

Despite the hefty judgment, Omi confidently declared Nike won’t get paid, as he was never officially the company owner. The legal battle drained him financially, costing millions in attorney fees. Omi also took responsibility for the fallout by protecting his employees from prosecution, asserting they were just doing their jobs. The fight over this high-profile sneaker dispute continues in court.
