In a candid interview with VladTV, former Colombo family capo and hitman Gregory Scarpa Jr. opened up about his complicated relationship with his infamous father, Gregory Scarpa Sr., aka the "Grim Reaper," who allegedly killed over 120 people. Scarpa Jr. revealed that he did not know his father was an FBI informant until he was in prison, despite Scarpa Sr.’s 26-year covert cooperation to avoid a lengthy sentence. Shockingly, Scarpa Sr. even assisted the FBI in locating the bodies of murdered civil rights workers in Mississippi by torturing a Klansman. Scarpa Jr. admitted that had he known about his father’s snitching earlier, he “would’ve done a hit” on him. However, he also acknowledged his father’s complex nature, noting Scarpa Sr. worked alone with specific agents and carefully manipulated situations to protect those around him. Ultimately, Scarpa Jr. emphasized his loyalty to the mob code despite the painful family secrets unveiled.
