Charleston White recently opened up about a tense altercation involving rapper Young Thug at Opa-locka Airport. According to White, after a prior collaboration on community work during Young Thug’s jail time and a Thanksgiving turkey giveaway, tensions rose due to personal conflicts and issues with fellow Atlanta artists. During an event where White was unexpectedly detained for hours, Young Thug and his crew confronted him, reportedly saying, "We step on s***," and threatening to shoot.
White recalls reaching for his mace when one of Young Thug’s associates feigned pulling a gun, leading to security breaking up the situation. No charges were pressed, but White shared that the incident was both dangerous and played out with ill intent. He suspects it’s part of a broader intimidation tactic Young Thug and his allies are employing as they expand their influence to Miami, following similar efforts in Atlanta.
