White criticized how some comedians exploit painful racial wounds under the guise of edgy humor, contrasting this with comedians like Ricky Gervais, who he praised for understanding the delicate balance of provocative comedy. He also lamented society’s overcorrection in political correctness, suggesting some accountability and consequences—“getting your ass whipped”—could keep people in check. White emphasized the deep scars racial jokes reopen and urged comedians to avoid such topics, advocating respect for those affected by racial trauma.
