Part 1: DL Hughley: Trump Arrested Venezuelan President Maduro to Distract Us from Epstein List

Comedian DL Hughley weighed in on rapper T.I.’s venture into stand-up comedy, comparing it to Michael Jordan’s switch to baseball. Hughley explained that just as Jordan, a basketball legend, found limited success in baseball, artists excelling in one craft don’t always naturally succeed in another. “People who are gifted in one aspect believe that God gives with two hands, and I don’t know that he does,” Hughley said, acknowledging T.I.’s Hall of Fame status as a rapper but questioning his comedic prowess. Having shared stages with T.I., Hughley noted T.I. typically performs short sets during comedy shows. While protective of comedy as an art form, Hughley remains open-minded but cautions that success requires full dedication. Interestingly, Hughley believes several other rappers like Snoop Dogg, E-40, and 50 Cent could transition to stand-up, given their charisma. Ultimately, he emphasizes respecting the craft and the challenge of making audiences laugh.
