In a recent Vlad TV interview, Dipset members JR Writer, Hell Rell, and DukeDaGod shed light on the group's internal conflicts, revealing the tensions began prior to the famous 50 Cent vs. Cam’ron feud. While many believed Dipset’s breakup coincided with the 2007 50 Cent and Cam’ron hot97 on-air confrontation, Hell Rell and JR Writer explained that discord was brewing as early as 2004, following Hell Rell’s return from prison.
They described how, although they were making some of their best music, cracks appeared as solo careers took off and the group's unity dwindled. DukeDaGod emphasized their efforts to keep the collective intact amid the turmoil. The infamous 50 Cent and Cam’ron beef escalated after 50 called Cash Money Records a “graveyard for artists,” prompting Cam’ron’s heated radio response. However, JR Writer stressed that this public beef wasn’t the root cause—it was more a symptom of deeper ongoing issues within Dipset.
