Rapper Blueface recently opened up about the real reason behind his prison stint during an interview with VladTV. Contrary to popular belief, Blueface clarified that his probation violation wasn’t due to the infamous Las Vegas shooting case. Instead, it stemmed from traveling to Utah without permission to support fellow artist Jaden, an action his parole officer discovered after TMZ shared footage of him on stage. Initially sentenced to just six months, Blueface’s time behind bars extended to four years after run-ins with trouble while incarcerated led to additional violations.
Addressing his jail experience, Blueface revealed that as a high-profile inmate, he faced threats but also found unexpected protection from members of the Crips gang. “Everybody knows what time it is,” he said, noting that the Crips enforced a kind of peace, making sure fights were checked before escalating. This insight sheds light on how the rapper navigated the challenges of prison life amidst his legal battles.
