Owen Hanson, a former USC football player, detailed his transformation from a volleyball scholarship to an international trafficker. Initially, he used PEDs to improve his athletic performance. After being redshirted on the volleyball team, he joined the USC football team as a walk-on. Post-graduation, he started a bookmaking business, Betodog, which expanded internationally. Hanson then transitioned to moving millions of dollars and kilos of narcotics, often laundering money through complex schemes. He eventually faced legal consequences for his activities. Owen Hanson recounted his involvement in a high-stakes money laundering scheme involving $3.2 million of cartel money. Initially, he loaned a gambler $1.5 million, which was laundered back to him as $1 million. However, the gambler lost $2.2 million in three hours, leaving $300,000. Hanson confronted the gambler, who claimed he could win it back, but was arrested with $700,000. Hanson faced 21 years in prison after a letter revealed he hid assets. Post-release, he started a protein ice cream business and collaborated with Mark Wahlberg on his Prime documentary series.
