Initially, Anuel AA, a self-proclaimed fan and one of Tekashi’s favorite rappers, teamed up with him on the multi-platinum Latin hit "Bebé." Their partnership flourished, including tracks like "Mala" from Tekashi’s "Dummy Boy" album. However, tensions arose after Tekashi’s prison stint. Despite their post-prison collaboration efforts, Anuel allegedly faced threats aimed at him and his brother in prison if he released a new song with Tekashi. This fear caused Anuel to back out, ending their friendship. Tekashi also addressed Anuel’s public accusations against him and denied any substantial beef beyond fear-driven actions. He expressed openness to reconciliation but questioned Anuel’s courage to do so.
