Young Thug is once again turning heads — this time with a bold fashion statement. The Atlanta rapper shared a photo to his Instagram Story on Sunday (Sept. 21), showing himself pouting while wearing what appeared to be an iced-out corset. The post quickly went viral, with fans speculating that the daring look signals the arrival of another classic project from Thugger.

The timing of the post comes just days before the release of his highly anticipated fourth studio album, UY Scuti. Originally set to drop on September 19, Young Thug chose to delay the release by one week out of respect for Cardi B, who dropped her album Am I the Drama? on the same day. “Yall know I wasn’t dropping Friday. It’s a ladies day ❤️ do yo s*** @iamcardib,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter). UY Scuti will now officially arrive on September 26.

Fans flooded social media with reactions to Thug’s new look, many of them tying it to the quality of music they expect from the upcoming project. “Thug wearing dresses again? Classic incoming,” one fan wrote. Another added, “This basically means peak music incoming.” Young Thug even re-shared some of the tweets himself, including one that read, “Is this n**** wearing an iced out corset? This album bouta change my life.”

The buzz around UY Scuti comes as Young Thug continues to rebuild his career following his release from prison last year. The rapper was arrested in May 2021 alongside several YSL associates and faced numerous charges, including RICO violations. After over three years behind bars, he was released in October 2024.

Earlier this month, Thug dropped a deeply personal track titled “Man I Miss My Dogs,” in which he apologizes to several friends and collaborators he name-dropped in leaked audio clips during his time in jail. In the song, he expresses regret to his girlfriend Mariah The Scientist, as well as Drake, 21 Savage, and Lil Baby. Notably, he shouts out Drake, rapping about the Toronto rapper’s support during his incarceration:

“Drizzy, you my brother / You know I ain’t going against you / … Came to visit me at Cobb County like my kin do.”

“Man I Miss My Dogs” will appear on UY Scuti, which is set to be Thug’s first full-length project since his release. With his corset photo sparking a frenzy online and snippets of the album already building hype, fans are eagerly counting down to September 26, expecting nothing short of a game-changing release.
