With NBA YoungBoy set to headline one of Chicago’s most iconic arenas, the United Center has announced a strict bag policy ahead of his September 24 performance.

The venue stated that bags of all sizes — including clear bags — will not be permitted inside, urging concertgoers to travel light and bring only essentials like keys and wallets. Those who need to store items will have access to locker rentals at the "Uber Zone" entrance.

The heightened security measures come as NBA YoungBoy prepares to perform in a city where his name has been linked to past tensions within Chicago’s rap scene. The Baton Rouge rapper has had a longstanding feud with Lil Durk and the late King Von, both central figures in Chicago’s drill movement. The conflict began when King Von made comments that were perceived as disrespectful toward YoungBoy, sparking a series of online exchanges. It escalated following King Von’s tragic death in November 2020 during an altercation involving YoungBoy’s affiliate, Quando Rondo, outside an Atlanta nightclub.

While YoungBoy and Durk have since hinted that their feud may not be as serious as fans believe, the rivalry has left a lasting mark on both artists’ careers and continues to shape narratives within the rap world. Given King Von’s deep ties to Chicago and Lil Durk’s prominence in the city, YoungBoy’s performance there carries added significance, fueling speculation about how the show will unfold.

As the concert date approaches, the United Center’s no-bag policy highlights the venue’s commitment to safety amid what is expected to be a highly charged event. Fans attending the show are encouraged to plan ahead, travel light, and remain aware of the heightened attention surrounding one of the most talked-about performances of the year.
