Cam’ron recently revealed that Dame Dash missed multiple chances to save his one-third stake in Roc-A-Fella Records, even as he faced losing it due to an $800,000 debt. Speaking on Talk with Flee, Cam said he and Ma$e were ready to help Dame by putting up a combined $1 million.
“When we seen that Dame owe $800,000 to a debt all these people would get his third of Rockefeller. Mase was like, ‘Yo, nah, bro. Come on, B. That’s Dame, bro. Word to everything I love. We can’t let this n**** go out like that,’” Cam recounted.
Cam explained that Dame initially stalled, saying he might have a $2 million deal lined up with NBA YoungBoy. When that fell through, Ma$e and Cam circled back, offering to put the money in Dame’s account immediately.
“Mase like, ‘Yo, bro, you got a million today, in your account today. Today,’” Cam said. But Dame asked them to wait, claiming he might have another deal worth $6 million. Three weeks later, Dame finally called back ready to move forward — but by then, Ma$e had backed out, frustrated with the delay.
To make matters worse, Cam revealed Dame had previously turned down a $1.5 million offer from Jay-Z and Kareem “Biggs” Burke to acquire his Roc-A-Fella shares. “Jay-Z offered him 1.5 million for the third before anybody,” Cam said. “He like, ‘Nah, I’m not selling to them. F** that.’”*
In the end, Dame rejected both offers while chasing a bigger payout, even mentioning possible interest from Drake. “You got 1.5 on the table, you got a guaranteed million from me and Mase on the table, and then you gamble trying to get 6 million,” Cam said. “And the deal fell through.”
