The fallout from Young Thug’s leaked jail calls continues to grow, and now YSL Woody is speaking out about the impact the situation has had on him personally. Woody, who was one of the key witnesses during the YSL RICO trial, has been vocal about his complicated feelings toward Thugger and the events that unfolded throughout the high-profile case.

Woody’s time on the witness stand drew heavy criticism, with many questioning his testimony and comments made during and after the trial. However, roughly a week before Young Thug’s release, Woody publicly apologized for the lies he told, expressing deep regret over the pain he caused. “The pain, the suffering, everything I've caused on him and his family... I wish I had the mindset and the strength that I have now. I'll never forgive myself,” he said. “I took him through a process that I never should have took him through. Even though I know I'm not the cause of it, despite how anybody may feel, it's wrong.”

Despite that apology, Woody now finds himself in what he describes as a conflicted and emotional place. In a recent Instagram Story, Woody admitted that he is “not okay” in the aftermath of the trial and the recent controversies surrounding Young Thug.

“The truth, no I’m not okay after everything a n**** been through,” he wrote. “My intentions have never been flaw. Even when I knew s***, I held my composure and carried it around like it was nothing. N****s hurt my family for me having y’all n****s back because your mother and sisters mattered to me.”

Woody went on to say he sacrificed for those around him, making sure they were cared for, only to feel abandoned when he needed support the most. “I put you first and when I needed you, you was hiding, and my n**** Boo stepped up and saved me from y’all cowards,” he added.

These comments come just days after a series of leaked jail calls from Young Thug began circulating online, shaking the hip-hop world. In the recordings, Thugger could be heard speaking negatively about several of his peers, including Future, Drake, Travis Scott, Lil Durk, Migos, and Gucci Mane. Even more shocking were calls involving his girlfriend, Mariah The Scientist, in which Thug admitted to cheating on her just days before his May 2022 arrest.
