50 Cent is adding another major project to his growing TV empire. The hip-hop mogul and television powerhouse revealed on Instagram that he has officially acquired the rights to the classic 2002 film Paid in Full and is developing it into a premium TV series. Even better, Harlem rap legend Cam’ron, who starred in the original film, is set to executive produce alongside him.

“I now have the rights to PAID IN FULL,” 50 Cent wrote. “I’m developing it into a premium TV show. If you like Godfather of Harlem, you’re gonna love this. Cam set to executive produce alongside me, if you want in get at him — I’m out of the country.”

The original Paid in Full starred Cam’ron, Mekhi Phifer, and Wood Harris, and told the story of three friends navigating Harlem’s drug trade during the crack epidemic of the 1980s. The film has since become a cult classic in hip-hop culture, inspiring everything from lyrics to fashion. Fans have long speculated about a sequel or reboot, and 50 Cent’s announcement has sparked massive excitement.

With hit series like Power, BMF, and Raising Kanan already under his belt, 50 Cent has built a reputation for bringing gritty, street-inspired stories to life on the small screen. His involvement, paired with Cam’ron’s firsthand connection to the original movie, has fans expecting a show that will capture the authenticity of Harlem’s streets while expanding the story for a new generation.

No release date has been announced yet, but one thing is certain — with 50 Cent and Cam’ron at the helm, the Paid in Full TV series is already one of the most anticipated projects in hip-hop and television culture.
