Yaya Mayweather is back in the spotlight after reacting to NBA YoungBoy performing his hit song “Nevada” on his MASA tour, a track she has claimed is about her.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Yaya shared how special it felt to see thousands of fans singing along. “I can’t even put into words what it feels like seeing an entire arena singing a song about me,” she wrote. “Thank you for creating a song so special to me and giving me a memory I’ll cherish for a lifetime.”
She ended her message with a bold clapback: “Until you’ve had a song made about you go platinum and a whole arena singing it stfu talking to me thangyaaa.” The comment stirred controversy, especially since YoungBoy is now married to Jazlyn Mychelle.
Her post comes just weeks after Yaya had to shut down pregnancy rumors sparked by a lyric from YoungBoy’s surprise mixtape, Deshawn. On the song “This Month Confessions,” he raps, “Now Yaya pregnant, gotta make her get rid of it. This ain't the time, I told you, 'No.'” The lyric quickly sent social media into a frenzy, but Yaya was quick to deny the speculation, writing on Instagram: “idk where y'all getting this from but I'm not pregnant.”
Despite the drama, Yaya showed support for YoungBoy, who is the father of her four-year-old son, Kentrell Gaulden Jr. She added, “I love you more than words could ever explain, and no matter how far away you go in the world, I'll always be here for you, cheering you on. You're never alone.”
