Ant Glizzy recounted a harrowing event from 2017 when a shooting intended for him tragically took the life of his best friend. Following the rise of his music career after a breakthrough 2015 mixtape, tensions escalated involving rival groups. Ant explained that his friend, uninvolved in the feud, was fatally struck by a ricochet bullet during a drive-by shooting where roughly 60 rounds were fired into a courtyard where about 50 people were gathered. Despite being the intended target, Ant was unharmed, but witnessing his friend’s final moments left him deeply traumatized. He revealed the emotional toll this incident had on him, leading to years of depression and vulnerability, and shared how close friends helped him cope through the pain.
