Cardi B had a dramatic moment outside the Alhambra courthouse on Tuesday after a man shouted a personal question about her relationship while she was signing autographs. The incident came just moments before a jury cleared the rapper of all liability in a civil assault case brought by former security guard Emani Ellis.

The man asked Cardi, “Cardi, insiders are claiming Offset is publicly bragging about getting you pregnant for the fourth time. Do you foresee any paternity issues with Stefon Diggs?” Cardi immediately fired back, “Stop disrespecting me,” before throwing the pen she was using to sign autographs at him. When the man responded that he still loved her, Cardi clapped back: “I don’t care. You’re disrespectful. Don’t do that. Do you see women asking those types of questions to me? Act like you have some manners. Your momma taught you respect women.”

Earlier that day, the jury deliberated for less than an hour before finding Cardi not liable for allegedly hitting and spitting on Ellis during a 2018 incident at a Beverly Hills medical office. The verdict means Cardi will not have to pay any damages, closing the door on a lawsuit that sought up to $24 million.
