The YSL RICO saga may have officially closed, but the fallout continues to ripple through Atlanta’s rap scene. This week, Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk—who was one of several defendants to accept a plea deal—addressed the criticism swirling around his name and his family after leaked audio allegedly captured Young Thug discussing his plea.

Unfoonk, currently behind bars, released a message pushing back on the “snitching” allegations surrounding people in the case. “First off, I don’t indulge in da sucka s*** can’t beat the cap a** internet,” he wrote. “Roscoe gon feel how he feel, Ralo too, & da extras got add they lil 2 cents. I ain’t never sent nobody down the road, took no stand or got nobody time lol. I took mine on da chin.”

He went on to stress that while he had the opportunity to “walk outta them cuffs,” he refused to cooperate with prosecutors. “I ain’t built like dat,” he continued. “Sheid as you can see what I chose to do. But God bless tho, I won’t get caught up in y’all new indictment y’all tryna build tryna gain clout.”

The message comes at a time when YSL affiliates are divided, with Gunna in particular facing constant accusations of being a “rat” after taking an Alford plea in the case. In the recently leaked audio, Young Thug was allegedly heard separating himself from Gunna’s situation while also responding to Unfoonk’s decision. Now, Unfoonk has made it clear that he sees himself as someone who stood firm, even as others continue to debate about the case.
