Rod Wave’s Tampa show on Friday (Aug. 29) came with a surprise that had fans both hyped and cracking up. The rapper was set to perform at a packed Amalie Arena, and when the opening notes rang out, the crowd went wild as someone slowly rose from beneath the stage with a towel covering their head.
Fans screamed, thinking they were about to witness Rod’s grand entrance—but when the towel dropped, it wasn’t the rapper at all. Instead, comedian Druski stood grinning on stage, pulling off one of his signature pranks in front of thousands.
“I got y’all. I got all y’all motherf***ers!” Druski shouted, sending the arena into laughter and disbelief. It was the perfect fake-out, blending comedy with concert theatrics before Rod Wave himself took over and gave the audience the performance they came for.
For fans in attendance, the prank will go down as one of those unexpected live show moments you can’t help but talk about long after the music stops.
