Cam’ron isn’t one to sugarcoat, and he had some strong words of advice for Johnny Manziel after the former NFL quarterback inserted himself into Gille Da Kid’s back-and-forth with Cam Newton.
The drama kicked off when Newton, defending his own legacy, clapped back at Gille Da Kid after the Philly rapper and podcaster hyped up Eagles QB Jalen Hurts. Newton compared his NFL career—including a league MVP, multiple Pro Bowls, and a Super Bowl appearance—to Gille’s rap career, claiming Gille “can’t beat him in anything” from football to basketball to rock-paper-scissors.
Gille, never shy about responding, fired back by calling Newton a “bozo” and clowning his fashion choices. That’s when Manziel unexpectedly jumped into the mix, telling Gille to “get off Jalen Hurts” and even threatening to slap him the next time they crossed paths.
Cam’ron, however, wasn’t impressed with Manziel’s tough talk. On Talk with Flee, he issued a clear warning:
“Johnny Manziel, you should really mind your business,” Cam said. “You’re not that big. Gille is a boxer—he really boxes. He knows how to bob and weave, he knows how to throw hands. I advise you do not run up on Gille. Gille will knock you the f*** out.”
Cam also reminded Manziel that Gille isn’t alone—his cousin and Million Dollaz Worth of Game co-host Wallo would be right there with him. “I would hate for you to get punched in your face by Gille, tackled by Wallo, and then Gille’s beating the s*** out of you while Wallo’s holding you down, trying to teach you a lesson,” Cam joked.
While the beef between Newton and Gille centers on career comparisons, Cam kept it real: Newton dominated on the field, but in the podcast game, Gille’s numbers are undeniable. “Cam won by a landslide with his football career,” Cam admitted. “But now? In the podcast space, Gille is very, very high. He’s winning right now.”
