Lil Yachty is setting the record straight on rumors that he’s had issues with fellow rap stars Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti. During a recent appearance on PlaqueBoyMax’s livestream, Yachty made it clear there’s no lingering drama between him and either artist.

Recalling a chance encounter with Uzi just weeks ago, Yachty said the two crossed paths in an unexpected way. “I was leaving the studio, tired as hell, 7 o’clock in the morning,” Yachty explained. “I opened the door… and he was in the car. I opened his car door and was like, ‘My bad, wrong car.’ I closed the door—you know what I’m saying? I ain’t got no problem.”

Yachty extended that sentiment to Carti as well. “I ain’t got no problem with Carti either, bro. At this point, we’re just grown men. We’re just older now, living our own lives, getting our own money,” he said.

He also took time to show genuine appreciation for the success and style of his peers, even complimenting Uzi’s black Audemars Piguet watch during the stream. “That s*** hard though. No d*** riding—that s*** hard,” Yachty said, laughing off any idea that showing love is a sign of weakness. “Congratulate. This s*** crazy.”
