Rapper Turk has weighed in on Boosie Badazz’s recent plea deal in his federal case, pushing back on speculation that the Louisiana rapper is headed straight back to prison. Speaking with B High ATL, Turk said Boosie’s situation isn’t as cut-and-dry as some fans are making it out to be.
“Boosie a businessman at the end of the day. When the feds sentence you, they give you time to get your business affairs in line,” Turk stated.
Turk explained that it’s common for federal defendants to have a window of a few months to tie up loose ends before serving any time—if they even have to serve time at all. He then predicted that Boosie won't spend much time behind bars. “He don’t got no serious charges that’s gonna make him get 10 years, 20 years, or whatever. If he get any time, bro, he could come out with probation,” Turk said.
Beyond the legal specifics, Turk took issue with the online crowd celebrating Boosie’s potential incarceration. “I don’t wish jail on nobody, bro. I think that’s an evil person… to be happy somebody leaving their kids, leaving their family,” he said. “I don’t wish jail on my enemy.”
While some may be using Boosie’s legal troubles for clout, Turk believes the rapper is smart, prepared, and capable of navigating the situation. “You can’t do nothing but pray in that situation and hope for the best,” he added.
