Cam’ron just took celebrity beef to a whole new level — admitting he paid Omar Gooding to star in a “movie” that never existed, all as part of an elaborate revenge prank.
In a video posted online, the Harlem rap legend revealed he booked Omar for a role three weeks ago, flew him out to Miami, and filmed him on a fake set — all while knowing the film would never be released.
“So you know me, I got a new way to play with n*****,” Cam said. “I’m gonna start booking n*****. Cause y’all broke. A lot of n***** is broke. I booked a n**** to do a movie that’s never coming out… Yeah Omar. That movie you flew to Miami for? It ain’t no movie coming out.”
Cam claimed he was on set “laughing behind the scenes” the entire time. To prove it, he posted behind-the-scenes clips of Omar shirtless, doing push-ups, while Cam cracked jokes off-camera.
“You thought them n***** was real movie producers? They are real movie producers — but them was my n*****,” Cam explained, noting that Omar had signed paperwork allowing him to use the footage however he wanted.
The stunt is the latest chapter in a months-long feud that started when Cam’ron used his It Is What It Is sports show to criticize actors like Gooding for relying on people like 50 Cent to give them roles instead of creating their own opportunities. He even referred to Omar as “Omar Gooding Jr.,” which sparked a heated response.
Omar fired back earlier this year with a diss track titled “Fix Ya Mouth,” taking shots at Cam’s rap career and persona. Since then, the two have traded public jabs, with Omar challenging Cam to a rap battle and Cam trolling him with old photos.
After the prank footage surfaced, Omar appeared unfazed — at least publicly.
“First of all, thank you, brother. Thank you. You are next level. A free trip to Miami? $2,500 in my pocket to do some push-ups with my shirt off? Thank you… Show it on your little show all you want if you need ratings that bad,” Omar said in his response video. “I’m almost 50… I never said I was in shape. Who gives a s***? I’m a grown-ass man. I’ve been laughing all morning.”
Still, Omar hinted that the story isn’t over, promising a “vicious response” is on the way.
