He expressed frustration over the confusing nature of the charges and the restitution process. Judge Caproni, who sentenced Telfair, also sentenced Glen “Big Baby” Davis to 40 months in prison with an $80,000 restitution order for involvement in the same case. Telfair highlighted the disparity, noting Davis’ longer sentence despite owing significantly less. Telfair has served short jail stints before but said this six-month term will be his longest incarceration. He emphasized his innocence and called on the NBA to intervene, underscoring the complexities of ownership over NBA player accounts.
