Rapper and streamer DDG found himself in the middle of an unexpected and dangerous situation over the weekend after a reported swatting incident disrupted a paintball tournament in the desert.

The incident unfolded on Sunday (August 10) when law enforcement responded to what turned out to be a false emergency call. Social media footage from the event showed DDG being calmly escorted into a police vehicle, followed later by clips of him walking free to the sound of cheers from spectators.

Swatting — a malicious act in which someone makes a hoax report to police to trigger an armed response — has been a growing threat in the streaming and online content community. These calls can lead to dangerous confrontations and have drawn condemnation from creators, fans, and law enforcement alike.

One of the tournament’s hosts later confirmed that DDG was unharmed and released after officers determined the arrest was unfounded. However, the disruption led the remaining players to end the event early. As of now, DDG has not publicly addressed the incident, leaving fans waiting for his side of the story.
