Detroit rapper Kash Doll is single after calling it quits with NFL player Za’Darius Smith. The pair dated for less than a year before deciding they couldn’t see “eye to eye.”
Kash Doll took to social media to make the announcement, praising Smith as “a great guy” but making it clear the relationship had run its course. “At this point of my life I just need to be single,” she wrote. “Za’Darius a great guy but we can’t see eye to eye and with all due respect we decided to part ways.” She also told fans she’d be taking a break from social media to protect her mental health, adding, “I’m giving the internet a break also so I’m done with y’all too right now.” Smith confirmed the breakup in his own Instagram Story, simply stating that he was single.
This isn’t the first time Kash’s love life has made headlines. She previously dated rapper Tracy T, the father of her two children. Their breakup was anything but quiet, with the former couple occasionally trading public jabs. Tensions between Tracy and Smith even boiled over earlier this year after Tracy commented on photos of his son with Kash and Smith at a wedding. Smith fired back, telling Tracy to “buy school clothes and go half on that tuition,” prompting Tracy to respond with a thinly veiled jab when news of Kash and Smith’s split broke. Kash didn’t hold back either, delivering a sharp clapback that made it clear reconciliation with her ex is not on the table.
While some fans think Kash and Smith might reconcile — with one writing, “I’ll give it a month, they gone be back together” — others believe she’s serious about focusing on herself.
