Kodak Black’s ongoing personal and legal drama took another turn this week as one of his ex-girlfriends—and mother to one of his children—was hit with five felony criminal mischief charges following a chaotic nightclub brawl tied to a children’s birthday party earlier this year.

According to Complex, Maranda Johnson was arrested and booked at the Broward Main Jail, with her bond set at $12,500. She has since been released, but the charges stem from a January altercation involving multiple women connected to the rapper.

The dispute allegedly went down at a birthday celebration Kodak organized for his children, inviting all of their mothers to one party—a move that, in hindsight, proved to be more volatile than festive. What began as a birthday gathering quickly spiraled into a full-blown melee after the women allegedly began arguing upon seeing each other.

"While the mothers were arguing and trying to fight, one of their brothers got involved in the argument and that’s how the entire fight started,” authorities said in the report. “Once he got involved, so did Kodak Black’s entourage."

The brawl reportedly resulted in serious property damage to the nightclub, including a broken sink, toilet, printer, and even a computer screen. Now, months later, Johnson is facing the legal fallout from the incident.

As news of her arrest gained traction online, Johnson took to social media to share her side of the story. In a clip reposted by The Shade Room, she accused Kodak of using the situation to retaliate against her.

“The reason that it's getting brought back up today is because a man is mad they have to help be a father to his children,” she said. “So he's doing everything in his power to break me.”

Kodak Black has yet to publicly respond to her claims.
