In a surprising turn, Virginia Huynh — also known as Gina and once identified anonymously as “Victim-3” in the federal case against Sean “Diddy” Combs — has publicly stepped forward to support his release on bail.

Huynh was previously expected to testify against Combs but disappeared just days before the trial began. Now, she’s reemerged with a letter to the judge, describing the music mogul as a changed man and calling him a “committed family man” who “has not been violent in many years.”

The letter was submitted as part of Combs’ legal team’s latest push for bail ahead of his October 3 sentencing. Last month, a jury convicted Combs on two charges related to prostitution but cleared him of more serious racketeering and sex trafficking allegations. The defense argues that Combs is neither a danger to the public nor a flight risk, and is offering a $50 million bond. Huynh’s statement attempts to bolster that claim, painting a picture of a reformed man who has matured since their rocky relationship.

Huynh admitted their time together “was not always perfect,” but emphasized that Combs had taken responsibility for past actions and had grown more loving and patient by the time they parted ways. “I am writing because I do not view Mr. Combs as a danger to me or to the community,” she stated. Her letter contrasts sharply with those from other witnesses, including Cassie Ventura, who previously urged the judge to deny Combs’ bail, citing fear for her safety and pointing to years of abuse that were backed by video evidence shown during trial.

Combs’ defense has also filed a motion challenging the constitutionality of his conviction under the Mann Act, asking for either an acquittal or a new trial. Meanwhile, the court continues to weigh serious concerns raised during the proceedings — including surveillance footage of Combs assaulting Ventura — which led to an immediate denial of bail after the verdict. With both public support and opposition mounting, all eyes are on the judge as the high-profile case nears its next chapter.
