What started as a simple sports debate has spiraled into a full-blown feud involving former NFL quarterbacks, a podcast host, and some serious trash talk.

It all began when Cam Newton left Philadelphia Eagles star Jalen Hurts off his list of the top 10 quarterbacks in the NFL—a move that didn’t sit well with “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” host and Philly native, Gillie Da Kid. Taking to social media, Gillie didn’t hold back, waving around a Super Bowl trophy and mocking Cam for never earning one during his NFL career.

But the trolling didn’t end there.

Former Heisman winner Johnny Manziel jumped into the mix, going on an unfiltered tirade against Gillie. In a profanity-laced tweet, Manziel called Gillie the “biggest loser on the planet” and warned, “If I see you just know I’m going to slap the f*** out of you, trust.” He followed up with more harsh words, telling Gillie to keep Hurts’ name—and body parts—out of his mouth.

Despite the escalating insults, Hurts himself has stayed quiet. The Super Bowl-winning quarterback hasn’t responded publicly to Cam’s snub or the chaos that followed.

Cam Newton, for his part, has yet to backtrack on his list, which has drawn criticism not only from Gillie and Manziel but also from former NFL stars like Terrell Owens, Dan Orlovsky, and Ryan Clark. While Cam hasn’t officially retired, he’s been out of the league since 2021, though his 2015 MVP season remains a highlight of his career.

Whether this drama ends with words or something more physical remains to be seen—but for now, it’s clear the quarterback rankings conversation has hit a whole new level of personal.
