He admitted he was going through a rough patch at the time, which contributed to the tension. “I texted him and apologized,” Vlad said. “I was just being a jerk. Interviews are my life and legacy, so I take it personally. But it should’ve been a private business conversation.” Vlad acknowledged Marlon’s professionalism and expressed a willingness to reconcile, joking about the initial $40,000 fee request, “The door’s still open for him, but not for $40,000.”
