Olympic gold medalist Sha’Carri Richardson was arrested on Sunday (June 27) at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport following an alleged physical altercation with her boyfriend, fellow Olympian Christian Coleman. According to police reports, the couple got into a heated argument while passing through airport security.

Witnesses and authorities claim that during the dispute, Richardson pushed Coleman several times, with one push reportedly sending him into a nearby column. She was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence assault and booked into a local jail.

Richardson was released the following day and has not commented publicly on the incident. Coleman declined to press charges, and it's unclear at this time if the case will move forward.

The arrest adds a new layer of public scrutiny for Richardson, who has remained in the spotlight both for her athletic achievements and off-track controversies. As of now, neither of the Olympians has issued an official statement.
