Houston rap legend Slim Thug is weighing in on Megan Thee Stallion’s viral gift to NBA star Klay Thompson—and he's making it clear where he stands when it comes to high-priced gestures in relationships.
During a recent appearance on social media, Slim Thug responded to chatter surrounding Megan reportedly gifting Klay Thompson a luxury Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch, a timepiece that can retail for as much as $300,000. While he showed love and respect for the Houston hottie, he didn’t hold back when it came to his views on relationship dynamics.
"I like the watch. I like the watch," Slim said. "But I can’t have no woman little boyin’ me like that."
The Boss Hogg Outlaw made it known that while he appreciates grand romantic gestures, he isn’t interested in being on the receiving end of one that shifts the balance of power in a relationship. “I represent boss energy,” he said. “If a woman buys me a $300,000 watch, what I’m supposed to buy back? I know where I’m supposed to be—and that ain’t it.”
Slim Thug clarified that his comments weren't aimed specifically at Megan, who he called a "whole queen" and praised for her "boss life." Instead, he used the situation as an example to speak on self-worth and standing on one's values, especially for men who want to be treated like kings in relationships.
“They told you no, now let’s see how that work out for you,” he said, encouraging others not to dwell on rejection but to remain confident in their journey. “If you a tough [expletive] like me, you going to get your time to shine.”
The Houston rapper also added that while he supports female artists—especially those from his hometown—he’s only entertaining serious relationships where mutual respect and understanding are front and center.
"Acts of service is my love language," Slim explained.
