Cash Money rapper Turk and his wife-manager have taken to social media to speak out about what they claim is a retaliatory move by tour organizers, which resulted in Turk being dropped from upcoming performances on the Cash Money Millionaires 30th Anniversary Tour. In a candid video, Turk’s wife and manager explained that multiple issues with nonpayment and broken agreements have led to Turk’s removal from upcoming shows in Cleveland, Chicago, and Detroit.
According to her statement, the tour was initially billed as a 10-date run that was scheduled to wrap in June. However, she says only two shows have taken place so far, and problems began surfacing most recently during a stop in Nashville. She alleges that Turk, along with other Cash Money artists, was not paid for the Nashville date and that the show did not go on as a result. The agent overseeing the tour, Andrew Ellington of Artist by Artist Agency, and Nashville promoter Mario Mitchell, reportedly failed to deliver artists' backend payments, leading to the cancellation of that show.
Things escalated when Turk’s team received an email from Ellington suggesting that the tour promoter, Dope Shows, did not have enough money to pay the artists in full for the remaining three shows. The email allegedly offered a reduced payment in exchange for Turk’s continued participation, which his team declined. Following that rejection, Turk’s wife says she received another email in the early morning hours, informing them that Turk’s contract had been terminated due to him being deemed a “risk.” This was allegedly tied to a past online disagreement between Turk and fellow Cash Money rapper BG—an issue Turk’s team says was long resolved and never previously raised as a concern.
Calling the termination a “blatant retaliatory act,” Turk’s wife-manager said their legal team is involved and that fans should know Turk will not be performing at the remaining Dope Shows-produced dates. However, she reassured fans that upcoming performances involving Live Nation—including appearances with all the Hot Boys—are still on as planned. “We just want to be completely transparent,” she said, promising that Turk will continue performing for fans at venues that honor their commitments.
