Former NYPD officer Mike Moy discussed his tumultuous final years on the force, which included filing a significant lawsuit against the department while still employed. Although he declined to delve into specifics due to ongoing litigation, Moy's lawsuit publicly accused colleagues of misconduct. Moy retired in 2021, following 26 years of service. His departure closely followed being summoned to a disciplinary hearing, which he interpreted as a move by the department to target him in retaliation for the lawsuit, aiming to discredit his claims. Despite his grievances with what he described as "bad apples," Moy maintained a positive view of his overall career with the NYPD, expressing gratitude for the opportunities it afforded him and lamenting the presence of misconduct among a minority of colleagues.
