Boxing fans may finally get the generational matchup they’ve been dreaming of: Claressa “T-Rex” Shields vs. Laila Ali.

In a recent video, Shields directly addressed rumors swirling in the boxing world about her pursuing a fight with Ali, the daughter of legendary heavyweight Muhammad Ali. And she didn’t hold back.

“The rumor that I heard was that I said unless somebody had $15–20 million, don’t even call me,” Shields said, referencing previous comments made by Laila Ali. Then, she dropped the bombshell: "We got the $15 million. Let’s make a fight between me and you."

Backed by her team and supporters, including Mark Taffet and Ruben Branson of Win Records, Shields made it clear that the financials are in place. In addition to the funding, she stated that two of the biggest venues in the U.S.—Cowboys Stadium in Dallas and T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas—are ready to host the potential showdown. Shields emphasized, “All we need is Laila Ali.”

The video also included commentary from others supporting the fight, with one woman hilariously adding a personal twist: “Laila's mama was with my husband... it’s payback time!”

In a resurfaced clip, Ali had previously stated that she wasn’t actively looking to return to the ring but wouldn’t rule it out if the right payday came along: “Unless somebody calls me and says they have [the money], we’re not even going to have a conversation.”

Well, that call has officially been made.

While Ali hasn’t publicly responded to Shields' latest offer, fans are buzzing about the possibility of seeing the self-proclaimed “G.W.O.A.T.” (Greatest Woman of All Time) go head-to-head with boxing royalty.

Shields closed her message with a confident challenge: “You asked for the $15 million, and we delivered. Now let’s get it.”
