50 Cent is taking legal action against his ex, Shaniqua Tompkins—the mother of his 28-year-old son, Marquise Jackson—accusing her of violating a longstanding agreement by publicly sharing personal stories about their past.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, 50’s company, G-Unit Books, has filed a lawsuit against Tompkins for breaching a contract signed back in 2007. The suit alleges that Tompkins had "irrevocably and exclusively" sold the rights to her life story to G-Unit Books and had agreed not to disclose, exploit, or commercialize any aspects of her personal story—particularly anything related to her time with the rap mogul.
The lawsuit claims she broke that agreement by uploading a YouTube video titled “Other Side of the Coin,” where she detailed her relationship with 50 Cent before and during his rise to fame. In the video, Tompkins allegedly portrays herself as a key figure in supporting the rapper during his come-up.
In addition to the YouTube content, Tompkins also recently went live on social media, where she commented on 50 Cent’s ongoing feud with Diddy. During the livestream, she spoke about Fif’s ex, Daphne Joy—who later dated Diddy—and speculated that Daphne may be “Jane Doe” in the federal case against the Bad Boy founder. The lawsuit suggests this type of commentary is exactly what Tompkins had agreed to avoid, and now 50 Cent and his team are moving forward with legal consequences.
50 Cent trolled Tompkins on Instagram by reposting the TMZ story and commenting on her looks, writing, "👀I didn’t realize how much she looks like me, girl you handsome with them baby hairs. LOL 😆"
