Nicki Minaj didn’t hold back on Tuesday night (July 15) as she took aim at both SZA and Top Dawg Entertainment president Terrence "Punch" Henderson in a fiery social media exchange.
The drama kicked off when Nicki accused Punch of bullying her and lying about her publicly, writing, “So glad I have proof of being bullied by AND being lied on by a man PUBLICLY on a platform I use for my JOB; after I rejected his business proposition on more than one occasion.”
Shortly after, SZA—who is signed to TDE—wrote “Mercury retrograde.. don’t take the bait lol silly goose.” While she didn’t mention anyone by name, Nicki took it personally and fired back with a harsh response.
“Go draw your freckles back on bookie,” Nicki wrote. “B**** looking & sounding like she got stung by a f***ing bee. Dot dot dot Draws on my fake freckles.”
SZA clapped back with a tweet of her own, telling Nicki, “I don't give a f*** bout none of that weird s*** you popping…”
When a fan told SZA she wasn’t the victim in the situation, she clarified that her earlier tweet wasn’t aimed at anyone in particular.
She wrote, “I wasn’t even talking about or to anyone I had just got off stage talkin bout retrograde. N****S @‘d ME. The F*** YES IM MAD NOW DO YOU NEED THAT!??”
Nicki continued the verbal onslaught, escalating things even further by downplaying SZA’s impact on the music industry: “If every song you’ve ever done vanished right now the music business wouldn’t even miss you.”
