Chad Ochocinco isn’t letting Cris Carter’s recent comments slide. Carter, a Hall of Fame receiver, took a jab at Ochocinco by saying he “couldn’t get open to save his life” when they played together — and pointed out that unlike Ocho, he had multiple double-digit touchdown seasons.
During a recent episode of Nightcap with Shannon Sharpe, Ochocinco responded with classic sarcasm:
“What the hell does that matter? You scored double-digit touchdowns — what do you want, a cookie?”
Ocho went on to defend his career, saying he made the most of every opportunity with the teams he played for, despite the challenges he faced.
“I thought I did a great job with the cards I was dealt,” he said. “I'm scoring touchdowns right now — what are you doing?”
He didn’t stop there. Ochocinco also compared his career stats to Carter’s and pointed to his recent wide receiver camp as proof he’s still got it. Ocho ended things by challenging Carter to "put them cleats on" and meet him on the field.
