Drake had a bold message for the crowd—and his critics—during Night 2 of his three-night headlining run at Rockstar Energy’s Wireless Festival in London on Saturday (July 12).
While addressing the audience, Drake hyped himself up by highlighting the uniqueness of his performance schedule: “Three nights headlining, three different sets, three different vibes. Name another artist that can do that—and bring him up here and we can clash right now.”
The crowd erupted in response, breaking out into a chant of “F*** Kendrick!” — a clear reference to Drake’s ongoing beef with Kendrick Lamar.
Drake reacted by smiling widely and pulling out his earpieces to fully take in the moment. He then turned to his longtime friend and head of security, Chubbs, and said, “Grab me a shot. I’ll drink to that.”
After taking the shot on stage, Drake fired back with a confident statement: “Y’all thought y’all could knock The Boy off, for real?”
His remarks come as fans and critics continue to debate whether Kendrick dealt a career-ending blow to Drake amid their high-profile lyrical feud earlier this year.
