On Instagram, Yaya posted a photo showing off a massive diamond ring on her left hand with the caption, "Upgraded my ring #MASA." The hashtag is a nod to MASA, the title of YoungBoy's newly released album, leading fans to wonder if the two have rekindled their romance.
While neither Yaya nor YoungBoy have confirmed they’re back together, the post quickly sparked buzz online—especially since it comes just a couple of months after YoungBoy was rumored to have gifted her a Lamborghini truck for her 25th birthday. In a video that circulated on social media, YoungBoy can be seen on FaceTime with Yaya as she receives the luxury vehicle, further hinting at a possible reunion.
Yaya, born Iyanna Mayweather, shares a son with YoungBoy named Kentrell Jr., born in 2021. The two have had a rocky relationship, punctuated by legal drama and public spats. In April 2020, Yaya made headlines after she was arrested for allegedly stabbing one of YoungBoy’s other baby mamas, Lapattra Jacobs, during an altercation at the rapper’s Houston home. According to reports, the confrontation escalated after Yaya found Jacobs there and demanded she leave. The argument turned violent, with Yaya reportedly grabbing two knives from the kitchen and stabbing Jacobs twice.
Jacobs was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and Yaya was taken into custody on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was later released on bond and faced up to 20 years in prison. However, in December 2022, she avoided jail time by pleading guilty to the charge and was instead sentenced to six years of probation.
