Part 1: Ex-Prison Guard Hector Bravo on Menendez Bros. Being at His Prison, Believes They're Guilty
--------
Hector Bravo, a former employee of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), revealed that he faced illegal scrutiny from the department after resigning to speak openly about systemic issues within the prison system. Bravo alleged that the CDCR's Office of Internal Affairs issued two search warrants against him under dubious claims. He resigned in December 2022, anticipating retaliation but hoping to expose internal malfeasance. The CDCR allegedly subpoenaed Google for his personal information, claiming Bravo had violated internal policy, but he asserts their actions breached his First and Fourth Amendment rights. Bravo insists he hasn't committed any felonies and believes the department is improperly targeting him to identify sources leaking prison video footage. While Bravo sourced such materials from public platforms, he maintains his innocence and is considering legal action against the CDCR for what he views as a violation of his rights.
