Rapper and influencer Bhad Bhabie is responding to reports that she’s facing a major lawsuit from American Express over an alleged unpaid debt totaling more than $674,000.
According to court documents filed on Tuesday (July 2) in Los Angeles County Superior Court, American Express is seeking repayment from Bhad Bhabie—real name Danielle Bregoli—for the outstanding balance, plus additional damages.
The lawsuit claims, “Plaintiff extended credit to Defendant for purchases and/or cash advances by Defendant and/or persons acting with Defendant’s permission on the American Express account XXXX‑XXXX‑X5000 (the 'Account'). Defendant promised to repay Plaintiff for all charges, fees, and interest on the Account by paying the balance in full every month or by making monthly payments.”
Shortly after news of the lawsuit surfaced, Bhad Bhabie responded in a brief statement to The Shade Room, denying the claims. “S*** not true,” she said. “Where do they get this s*** from?”
At this time, no additional statement has been made from her legal team.
