50 Cent is once again taking aim at Diddy following the music mogul’s partial acquittal in his highly publicized federal trial.
On Wednesday (July 2), Diddy was found guilty on two counts related to prostitution. However, he was acquitted on the more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. According to reports, Diddy’s family erupted into cheers and tears after the verdict was read, with the Bad Boy founder reportedly dropping to his knees in celebration.
Never one to hold back, 50 Cent took to Instagram shortly after the news broke, using the moment to throw another jab at his longtime rival.
“Diddy beat the [RICO], that boy a bad man! 👏👏👏 He like the Gay John Gotti,” 50 wrote in his caption, continuing his trolling campaign against the embattled mogul.
The comparison to John Gotti is a loaded one. Gotti, known as the "Teflon Don," was a notorious New York mob boss who repeatedly escaped conviction in the 1980s, earning a reputation for dodging the law despite numerous charges. By likening Diddy to Gotti, 50 Cent is implying that Diddy—like Gotti—is able to avoid serious punishment despite facing heavy allegations.
50 has been a vocal critic of Diddy throughout the investigation and trial, frequently posting memes, commentary, and conspiracies about the case. With Diddy now awaiting sentencing for the lesser charges, it’s clear that 50 has no plans to ease up anytime soon.
