Veteran battle rapper T-Rex reportedly suffered a seizure during his highly anticipated matchup against Geechi Gotti at the Ultimate Rap League’s NOME 15 event in New York City on Saturday, June 22.
Footage of the alarming moment quickly circulated on social media, showing T-Rex collapsing mid-performance. According to TMZ, the legendary battler had requested water before the match began, with temperatures soaring to nearly 100 degrees in the city that weekend. The extreme heat has fueled speculation that T-Rex may have experienced heatstroke, which could have triggered the medical episode.
In the aftermath, T-Rex took to Twitter to express gratitude, writing, “Thank God for JuJu, I appreciate you so much,” though he did not provide further details about his condition.
Geechi Gotti, who was visibly concerned during the incident, offered a heartfelt update to fans. “I’m about to go head to the hospital to go check on my boy,” he said. “We came in here with his folks and his family. We gon' check on Rex right now. Prayers to bro, 'cause that s*** way more important than any battle.”
Later, Geechi followed up with a reassuring tweet: “Just saw my boy in the hospital! He was doing better. Let’s continue to pray for bro and send good energy his way.”
