Cardi B is celebrating another milestone as her latest single “Outside” soared to No. 1 on Apple Music — and she took to social media to share her gratitude while dropping some exciting hints about her upcoming album.

In a celebratory video, the Bronx rapper told fans, “We’re number one on Apple Music! I don’t know what’s going to happen to this country tomorrow, but I know we went number one today.” She continued, “I am so thankful. I am so grateful. I haven’t been number one on Apple Music in a minute, so this really means a lot.”

Cardi also took a moment to jokingly call herself out — and publicly apologize to her record label. “I’m gonna publicly apologize to Atlantic because I was being very bratty, very mean, very nasty,” she admitted. “I really didn’t want to drop this song, but they were like, ‘No, b****…’ So we compromised, dropped it — and it’s going amazing.”

As for her highly anticipated sophomore album, Cardi hinted that fans should expect something unexpected. “I’m happy that you guys love ‘Outside,’ but I just cannot wait for you guys to listen to my album,” she said. “I know you think my songs are gonna sound like that — and they’re not. I also heard somebody say that the songs are gonna be like ‘Bongos.’ I’m coming very different. It’s a completely different vibe… but a good vibe.”

With “Outside” making waves and anticipation building for her new project, Cardi B is setting the stage for a bold new chapter — and fans won’t have to wait much longer to hear what she’s been cooking up.
