Oprah Winfrey and Bishop T.D. Jakes shared the stage at the Good Soil Forum in Dallas on June 20, where they publicly addressed swirling rumors about their alleged connections to Sean "Diddy" Combs.

Oprah was quick to set the record straight, firmly denying any involvement with Diddy or his infamous parties.

“First of all, I’ve never been near a Puff party—never been near one,” Oprah told the audience. “And anyone who knows me knows if there is a party, I’m the first one out. That is not who I am. I like to sit at home with my thoughts by the fire, with the dogs.”

Bishop Jakes, on the other hand, acknowledged attending a Diddy party—but only briefly.

“I was there 30 minutes, said ‘Happy Birthday,’ and bounced,” he said, drawing laughs from the crowd.

Jakes used the moment to reflect on society’s obsession with celebrity gossip over substance. “People love salacious stories,” he explained. “You can tell them stories about feeding those girls in South Africa… they don’t want to hear about that at all. But if you tell them about Puffy’s biceps, they’ll follow you around the world. I think it’s because we’ve become so engrossed in other people’s lives to keep from having our own.”

Their comments come as Diddy continues to face multiple civil lawsuits and federal investigations. Both Oprah and Bishop Jakes made it clear: they’re not part of that conversation.
