Bun B is weighing in on the brewing tension between Pusha T and Travis Scott, sparked by Pusha’s pointed lyrics on the Clipse track “So Be It.” The Houston rap legend sat down with Shannon Sharpe and shared his thoughts on the escalating situation, predicting that Travis won’t stay silent for long.

Discussing Pusha T’s mindset, Bun B described him as someone with little to lose in a rap beef, saying, “Pusha’s a dangerous man. He’s willing to throw caution to the wind and be like, ‘You know what? I don’t really f*** with him anyway.’ You don’t see Pusha at awards shows, you don’t see him at clubs, at parties — they don’t mix like that. They mix with their own, and they’re pretty good in the streets as well, so it’s whatever.”

Still, Bun B made it clear that he doesn’t expect Travis to back down easily.

“That being said, Travis ain’t ’bout to back down. He’s from Houston. I wouldn’t be surprised if you hear something before the weekend is done. It’s either go into it or act like it didn’t happen, but the problem is that the people are going to demand a response. When these beefs happen, you have to respond. … But you gotta be careful when people try to bait you in.”

The feud traces back to Travis Scott’s “Meltdown” collaboration with Drake, where Drizzy appeared to take shots at Pharrell Williams — a close friend and longtime collaborator of Pusha T.

In a recent interview with GQ, Pusha T explained how the situation unfolded, alleging that Travis knowingly played a version of “Meltdown” for Pharrell — minus Drake’s controversial verse.

“The true context of that is we were in Paris, literally working, and he was calling to play P [Pharrell] his new album. He came to [Pharrell’s] studio. He interrupted a session. He sees me and Malice there. He’s like, ‘Oh, man, everybody’s here,’ he’s smiling, laughing, jumping around, doing his f***ing monkey dance. We weren’t into the music, but he wanted to play it, wanted to film [us and Pharrell listening to it]."

Pusha T added, "And then a week later you hear ‘Meltdown,’ which he didn’t play. He played the song, but not [Drake’s verse]."

With Pusha calling out Travis on wax and Bun B hinting at an incoming response, all eyes are now on Travis Scott to see how — or if — he’ll answer back.
