A feud between two YouTubers turned deadly on Sunday night (June 8), when a man fatally shot a fellow streamer and his wife during a live broadcast on Las Vegas Boulevard.
Rodney Finley, known online as “Finny Da Legend,” was livestreaming when viewers began commenting that another YouTuber—Manuel Ruiz, aka “Sin City Manny”—was nearby, reportedly looking for him outside the Paris Hotel. Roughly five minutes later, a viewer claimed to see Manny appear on Finny’s livestream, pull a gun from his waistband, and fire five shots.
According to police, after shooting Finley, Ruiz then allegedly turned the gun on Finley’s wife, Tanisha, and shot her twice.
Ruiz’s wife later told police she suspected her husband had shot someone, though she did not witness the incident because she had been walking ahead of him.
The following day, Ruiz turned himself in at the Henderson Police Department and claimed he acted in self-defense. During a court hearing on Tuesday (June 10), a judge ordered Ruiz to be held without bail.
